Nightshade Free Taco Seasoning

This is the same Spice Blend used in my Mexican Spiced Chicken and Quinoa, but I wanted to make a larger batch and thought it may be useful to list separately. You could sprinkle it in Quinoa or on Corn or Buckwheat Tortilla Chips. It’s got a similar taste to the traditional taco seasoning, but obliviously without the heat. The Pepper, Cloves and Mustard do help add a kick and the Sugar helps with the loss of the tomato’s sweetness. It’s simple, but it’s been something I’ve used time and time again and never tire of. This will probably end our Fake Mexican themed posts.

Ingredients

2 Tbsp Cumin
1 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tsp Garlic Granules
1 Tsp Oregano
1 Tsp White Pepper
1/2 Tsp Sugar
1/2 Tsp Salt
1/4 Tsp Ground Cloves

Optional: 1 Tsp Ground Yellow Mustard Seed

Method

1. Blend it all together.
